You Know You're a Teacher When...

Have you ever caught yourself doing this???...or worse yet -- have someone point out that you are doing this???

When teaching is your life, you find yourself assuming that everyone needs things explained in detail..along with demonstrations. I am the worst at this! I will be trying to tell my husband something and I'll find myself breaking down the directions one by one....even taking over to model what needs to be done. Usually he looks at me with a certain look (yeah, if you're a teacher you know the look I'm talking about) and reminds me he's not one of my students :0)

I've even caught myself (on quite a few occasions) doing the same thing with other teachers. Sorry - it's just ingrained at this point!!! :0)

There are a million things that ONLY other teachers understand....

Come on over to our Pinterest board for You Know Your a Teacher When......

Link up to this post and create your own....

I will comment instead of blogging.... You know you're a teacher when you volunteer in your children's kindergarten class on weekly whims and your youngest (twins) are now in second grade. I'm feeling the desire to get back. Yeah!

Nevermind! I figured it out! :)

Great idea with this linky party! It was way too easy to finish this thought - I could have come up with several more! I love your over explaining one - my sister and boyfriend tell me I have a "teacher tone" of voice I sometimes use, and they like to remind me that THEY are not third graders! :)

Happy Valentine's Week!

I'm in the process of creating my blog, but You know You Are A Teacher When: You can't walk into your local Walmart (or any store) and not hear your name being called, or have a parent want to have a conference with you. My hubby swears he is going to buy me a mask as a disguise so I don't have to constantly be stopped or hugged on.
